I always remember the fun and challenges of my Silver expedition. Getting stuck in mud, reaching the top of hills by encouraging each other as a group and seeing the most beautiful sunset when we got to the campsite in the White Peaks are some of my top memories! I feel like it really helped me to develop my character as I had to work with people I didn't know very well, and I had to overcome several obstacles during the expedition, enabling me to gain confidence and independence. Aside from the expeditions, throughout the 3 levels, I have enjoyed volunteering for different local organisations as well as on Zooniverse during the pandemic! DofE has given me amazing opportunities that I would never have otherwise had, and I can't wait to do my Gold canoeing expedition!
