Lianne Summerley
I completed my Gold DofE Award in 2015 and it was one of the hardest but most rewarding experience that I have had in my life so far.
It has taught me so much about myself and what I am capable of and given me the skills to push myself to achieve the things that I want to do.
I was incredibly fortunate to have my award presentation at Buckingham Palace in 2016 and actually met HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and he was a delight to speak to about the journey that the group that I did my Gold DofE with and we even shared a joke or two.
Since completing my award I have been involved in helping those who have been enrolled on the course and have become an award verifier which has been just as rewarding to help those who are going through the programme.
