That first expedition that I participated in really helped me understand teamwork and working as a team. It also enabled me to understand independence more and gave me courage. I was able to understand ordinance survey maps better and understand how to navigate. It truly was a good experience and one in which I made many friends with along the way. It is an experience I won’t forget thanks to the DofE award Scheme. My condolences to the royal family for the loss of a truly great and inspiring man that was HRH, the Duke of Edinburgh.
