I have a very fond memory of the time I met HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. He was in Leicester to open the David Wilson library at the University of Leicester with HM The Queen in December 2008. They attended a dinner reception afterwards at Beaumont Hall, where I was working as a kitchen assistant. The short conversation that I had with him whist serving him a Tiger ale from Everards brewery, was most special.
