Completing the Bronze and Gold Duke of Edinburgh award through my apprenticeship with Transpennine Express has been the most challenging yet rewarding thing i have ever done. Especially during the very first lock down when things were very un-certain and i was really struggling for things to keep me occupied, completing the different sections of the award and preparing for the expedition kept me going! Me and my team were lucky enough to be able to complete our practice and qualifying expedition during the Covid-19 restrictions thanks to the amazing people who helped put all the necessary measures in place, it was extremely rewarding to be able to do this.

My thoughts are with the Royal Family at this very sad time, and i can not thank The Duke Of Edinburgh enough for founding this amazing award and opportunity for young people like me.
