My most memorable Scouting experience has to be participating in my Gold DofE Expedition. Myself and six friends took part in a canoeing Expedition round the shores of Loch Etive in Scotland.
Our aim was to investigate and document the wildlife in and around the Loch. We made our way around the Loch and camped at some beautiful spots along the water's edge.
Now a Scout Leader myself, I encourage all my Scouts to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh award and share my experiences through the years from my initial Bronze award to going onto achieving my Gold, five years ago.
