I was trained up to become a leader and assessor for DofE at Accrington Academy 2014. I went on Bronze and Silver, both my children attended the school and went through the Award and achieved Bronze and Silver Award. Kids that’s hadn’t even walked or visited any town outside of Accrington succeeded on Bronze Award. Seeing our students achieve what they thought wasn’t possible is the best reward ever. I also met Prince Philip and Edward at Buckingham Palace for the 60th anniversary of DofE. What an amazing charity he created, my child and I will always be grateful for that.
