I loved completing all 3 of my Duke of Edinburgh awards. Through this scheme I learnt to be resilient, work hard and that the sky is the limit. I truly believe the volunteering hours and expeditions completed shaped me into the person I am today. I learnt to push myself to my mental limit, particularly during my Gold award expedition and I am a much more resilient person today because of my experiences. Thank you to the Duke of Edinburgh for creating such a rewarding scheme. Having the opportunity to visit a palace is a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget. I look forward to one day having my own children and encouraging them to participate in this extremely rewarding programme.
