Kerry Hambleton

I completed both the bronze and silver Duke of Edinburgh award at school. Encouraging sport, volunteering in the community and of course the expeditions. I remember doing both awards with my best friend. We worked at the local hospital elderly ward. I loved talking to the patients are helping to care for them. I remember getting lost, learning how to navigate and laughing as we all tripped and rolled down a hill. Carrying back packs for miles and eating rehydrated food! It was such fun and I learnt life skills. Having the award made you stand out when applying for university places. It gave lots of examples to answer interview questions. I would recommend it to any young person.
