I Gained my Gold Award in 1964 and attended the Garden party in 1965.
Whilst doing VSO in Nairobi, Kenya at Strehe Boys Centre in 1967 set up the scout troop up there and helped some of the boys with their DofE (Precedence)award skills training.
in 1968-9 assisted supervising some of the expedition training in Swanson.
in 1990s encouraged my daughter with her DofE and was approved by Hampshire to assist in the expedition training.
Now in 2021 one of my grandsons has just started his DofE program in his school in Sydney Australia.
PP has always been an encouragement to youth and will be greatly missed. RIP
