I undertook the Bronze Award whilst at secondary school. The expedition remains a highlight of my educational years! I had never undertaken on a challenge like the award before and aided me to develop many new skills. It also cultivated new and stronger relationships with my peers and these are special memories that we all share together. These skills were tested once I started to work at a school and helped students achieve their own award.
To see young people having the enjoyment that I had, was so heart-warming and a beautiful reminder of my experience.
I particularly enjoyed the volunteering section as I was able to share my passion for theatre with children. I continued my volunteering long after the allocated time and felt a stronger part of the community for it.
