Forever grateful for the opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award. One of my fondest memories is completing my Gold Expedition in the Rocky Mountains, Canada. I was one of two Canadians joining a group from the UK who had come over to complete the gold award as well. The expedition was physically challenging and fast friendships were made to support and encourage each other on those long days in the mountains. The whole process was an amazing experience which laid a foundation of who I am today.
