Having met HRH on a few occasions; my lasting memory is of a Gold Award presentation ceremony at St James Palace. I was a VIP guest sat on the front row of a room of approx 300. I proudly wore my Gold award broach. The doors opened; we all stood. HRH The Duke of Edinburgh stepped into the room. After briefly scanning the room he pointed towards me and said “I think we have met before, haven’t we”
I am proud to have met a truly inspirational man who served his country tirelessly. He leaves a legacy that will inspire young people for generations to come as it did me. RIP ?
