This picture is from my Bronze practice expedition when I was just beginning my DofE journey. Since then, I have been able to complete both my Bronze and Silver award and this year I am hoping to finish my Gold. Doing DofE has been such an exciting experience and has truly allowed me to do things I wouldn't have had the opportunity to otherwise. My favourite part of DofE has been the expedition even though for me it has always been the most difficult part. Being a scout, I've had the opportunity to do many hikes but doing DofE gave me true independence to plan a route, figure out a meal plan and problem solve in a way I haven't been able to before and the feeling of pride when you reach the end of your final day is incredible! DofE has allowed me to make memories and friends that will last a lifetime :)
