Having formerly completed the DofE Bronze Award, achieving this has proved to be hugely beneficial to develop my character and abilities. Through learning a language as part of the scheme, I delved into an activity that I would never have dreamed of trying before! The DofE has opened up opportunities to discover and build new skills.
Now as a DofE volunteer at a secondary school, I want to inspire the next generation of young people to begin their journey, developing their interests and making a difference. It is fundamental that we acknowledge and have immense gratitude to the founder of the DofE, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. Without him, none of us would have been able to have the chance to transform and achieve.
