The Award literally changed my life. Little did I know as a young participant that I would become a volunteer leader and be heavily involved in all aspects of the Award for the next 30 years. I have made lifetime friends, travelled the world and had experiences I could never have imagined. International exchanges to The Gambia, Singapore and helping host Millenium Gold Encounter in Ireland. I met the Duke on many occasions and was hugely impressed by his passion and interest in everything that the young people were doing. Great memories and thank you HRH Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. RIP.
