I loved doing the DofE gold award. I am a practical person and it suited me well. It gave me more confidence and encouraged me that I can achieve things. I loved all aspects of the award, especially the expedition on the Isle of Arran and a week sailing with The Mountbatten Memorial Trust, Romsey Sea Training Venture. I am grateful that I had the chance to do this award. I loved going to St James’s Palace with my dad to receive the award and meet The Duke of Edinburgh.
