the main memory i have of the gold award was being lucky enough to collect the award from Buckingham Palace and meeting the Duke. This was in the time when the Palace wasn't open to visitors and so just walking through the Palace was a very exciting experience. The Duke was delightful and made time to speak to as many of the participants as possible.
