Where to start I owe D of E a lot teaching me all sorts of new skills and learning new knowledge. It took me to places like the Lake District for my Gold expedition that I may not have gone to. I have met new people from all walks of life. But most of all I gained a career from it. I did St John Ambulance training and did a volunteer week at a holiday centre caring for disabled adults (I even went back a few more times afterwards I liked it that much). I wanted to do this type of work. From doing these I applied for my nurse training. Here I am 22 years later working in Intensive Care in Leeds. I have learnt so much and learnt lots about me and the fact I can do new things, I can achieve, I can have great experiences. Thank you.
