I was born premature when born I was 11 weeks early weighing 2lb 10oz. I am autistic and have dyspraxia in 2019 at the age of 22 I achieved my gold award.
I feel very proud that I was given the opportunity to experience the things I did on my journey to the gold award. I did things I never thought I would be able to with my disability.
I learned how to work as a team and learned how to put a tent up.
I completed my residential on a 80 year old working barge travelling along the canals, opening and closing locks, steering the barge, cooking for ourselves and working as a team, we stopped off at the Black Country Living Museum and spent the day volunteering, cleaning the double decker buses they use there.

I also work part time at Marks and Spencer’s Merry Hill Food Hall.Everything has helped me gain confidence and achieve a lot.
