I was privileged to be involved in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme as Unit Leader in School (Garforth Community College) and as a member of The Leeds Award Council.
I have worked with some amazing young people and many dedicated adult volunteers.
The Award was inspirational.
We have lost "our champion", but the legacy will live on in thousands of young people.
