I have completed my Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award expedition throughout the Easter holidays and I am happy to say that it was one of the best experiences of my life. I have met new people and made unforgettable friendships, whilst also improving my confidence and allowing me to develop as a person. The entirety of the expedition- both the practice and the assessment- was mesmerising as the landscape was immaculate and the people around me made my time even better. I engaged in the last day of my DofE silver expedition on the very upsetting day of his Majesty’s funeral- this made the experience much more eye-opening and I am proud to say that I have completed my Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award. This experience was truly memorable and I am very excited to progress through the DofE Gold Award.
