DofE was such an amazing experience that I enjoyed every minute of no matter how difficult it got, achieving both my Bronze and Gold awards. It allowed me to take on and overcome challenges I never thought I could, and I made so many incredible memories with great friends that I will cherish forever. It allowed me to acknowledge not only my physical strength, but my mental strength too, and what I am capable of achieving. If I could do the Gold award again I would do it in a heartbeat - the Duke of Edinburgh left behind a fantastic legacy, with this organisation helping so many young people recognise the perseverance, resilience and drive that they have within them, and I want to thank him for giving numerous people the opportunity to do so. DofE is something that I will hold close to my heart forever, and although challenging at times, was an absolutely incredible experience that I will always encourage people to take part in, and will truly never forget.
