The local Gold Award recipients acted as a guard of honour for the Royal Silver Jubilee visit to Middlesbrough in 1977. The Duke laughed and said to us on inspection "I presume you all took photography for your interest?" Here is one of the pics I took. Left to right; Cllr Arthur Scott Cunningham, Chairman of Cleveland County Council, H.M. The Queen, Cllr. Bob Smith Mayor of Middlesbrough, H.R.H.The Duke of Edinburgh - taken at Prissick School Base, Middlesbrough on 14th July 1977 a visit to celebrate the Queen's Silver Jubilee
