I did my D of E back in 1967, I remember my friends and I doing our expedition and camping on the West Pennine Moors, none of us had ever camped before. How we struggled with the tent and none of us slept that night.
Rugby was my chosen skill and we learned the rules in depth of Rugby Union I had not realized how complex a game Rugby Union was.

The D of E gave me the in built confidence I needed to achieve my goals in the future which has included working in many different locations around the world on major construction projects.

One of my daughters recently completed her D of E Silver Award and two more of my children are currently doing their Bronze Awards.

I will always remember my D of E experience with fond memories!
