Grace-Lily Bradley

My story is only starting, I am in the process of achieving my Bronze DofE. It’s been a challenge through COVID-19, but the support from my leader, parents & friends has been great! I’ve learnt Zumba, supported my brother by volunteering to help him with school work, which has been so great for him, as he has just started secondary school, but has spent many months doing remote learning due to the pandemic, so my guidance has helped him in some areas he has struggled in & kept my memory fresh! I’m nearly finished on the skill too, which is cooking, but not only have I learnt from this, my mum has too, we have had some fantastic time in the kitchen!
I have not experienced the full impact of the DofE yet & the pandemic hasn’t helped, but experiencing new things, working as a team with all my other friends has been fun, & I certainly have excitement for the weekend away. The learning of team work & experiencing outdoor activities, the camping, and everything else the weekend has to offer is something I’m looking forward to.
The Duke of Edinburgh award opens so many opportunities for all ages & I am looking forward to working my way through, & being opened up to more experiences & opportunities!
