My most memorable moment in the gold expedition was getting to the end of a tough day of walking and feeling like I couldn't take another step trailing behind my group only to be picked up and carried, rucksack and all, by a group of Northern Irish lads (also doing the award) the last few hundred metres to the campsite. Such a lovely act of kindness from strangers!
