Fraser Drummond

I remember when I was first told about the DofE back in S1. I remember thinking "wow, I really want to try that! I've never been camping before!" (of course I soon learnt it wasn't that simple). When I reached S3, I went to the DofE with the rest of the rugby team, starting on the practice day. It was an odd couple of days, to say the least, with the hikes being extremely tiring but somehow leading me to learn how to skip a stone for the first time. But I don't remember falling behind once. On the real trip, however, I distinctly remember a few more things; The embarrassing wrong turn my group made which led to us walking through a large field; twice! , the struggles with the tents and food (and a small fire made during the cooking), forgetting my phone so I never got to take pictures during the real deal, and more. When I got the award, I felt like I had just climbed one of the largest mountains in my life, and since then that was one of my proudest moments.
