If it wasn’t for doing The Duke of Edinburgh’s award I wouldn’t be where I am now. As part of my community volunteering role for my Bronze and Silver awards when I was a teen I supported children with additional needs at uniformed groups. This led to volunteering at a care home with adults for special needs for my Gold. I am now a special needs teacher and have been doing that for 16 years. Emily. Xx.
