The Duke of Edinburgh Award will always be an opportunity that I fondly look back on and I am so glad and thankful to have been able to participate in. It was so rewarding to volunter and feel as though I was making a difference to my local community. I've never ached as much as I did on the expedition but I've never laughed and enjoyed myself as much either, so I wouldn't have had it any other way. I learned invaluable navigation skills, teamwork and most importantly how, even in the most difficult of times, to motivate others and myself. We sang as we walked through the countryside and made vlogs to document our progress. It was an experience that I will never forget and would recommend to anyone to get involved in.
