I completed my DofE award with my secondary school at the age of 14. Despite being part of Scouting from a young age, my DofE experience was one of the most challenging experiences I have been through so far. I am so grateful for the opportunity as this gave me a reason to push myself and have something to be proud of. I am now on my way to becoming an explorer scout leader where our scouts are currently achieving their Bronze and Silver DofE. Our group completed their hike on the day of HRH Prince Philip's funeral. We are all so grateful for the legacy he has left us. Our scouts now have so much confidence in themselves and their abilities and have a great bond over such a challenging shared experience.
