I did all 3 levels of the award 1978 to 1981. I learnt new skills and in the tradition of expedition got wet many times.
I did such things as first aid for service and have ended up working in the NHS for over 30 years.
My gold award has got me two of my jobs in the past
My best memory was going to Buckingham Palace to receive my certificate from the Duke himself. Those piercing blue eyes and sharp wit will stay with me
