D of E galvanised participants and made life-long memories. It allowed us to plan expeditions we would never have been able to achieve otherwise. Walking, canoeing, sailing, sea kayaking and dog sledding expeditions in three different continents made our participants global citizens. The fund raising, team work and camaraderie made friends for life. Our Award holders frequently thank me for the experiences we made together and how it helped in their careers.
