The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award has moved lots of young people like myself out of their comfort zone and challenged them to excel beyond their standards, not forgetting the incredible exposure it gives young people to understand life more better.
As a Gold DofE Alumni, the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award program has really helped me develop a very balanced life and a unique lifestyle to be able to adjust to any environment I find myself.
The Award program has also created great opportunities for young people like myself to also lead, challenge and empower others to achieve their goals. Now as the DofE Coordinator at Tema International School (the award center I registered with for my DofE award journey), leading over 100 participants on their DofE award journey and seeing them building up their confidence, learning hands-on life lessons and challenging their selves to be world ready gives some hope to a better world in the future.
