Colin William Barker
I was presented with my Gold Award by the Duke in 1961 at Kensington Palace. I was standing there with a black eye which the Duke found intriguing. In order to get the award a group of us were required to do a hike in the Brecon Becons. We all wore good stout walking boots except one who was in Winkle Pickers. At the end he was the only one walking around without badly blistered feet!
