I am registeed disabled with a severe speech and communication problem, extreme anxiety and Autism. As the expedition part of Gold was postponed last year because of Covid I have the interim GOLD certificate and hope to finish it this year.

The difference that DofE has made to me is life altering. It has given me the confidence to do things and try to speak to my none disabled peers doing the same course.

I had wanted to get my Gold from the Prince because I admire him so much. Sadly that will not now happen. RIP Prince Philip.
