The most amazing memories for me, were made during the expeditions. Pitching tents on tree trunks and spending the rest of the night awake, being chased off Dartmoor farmland by angry cows who wanted some of my snack, and campfire cuisine that was really pretty impressive. All of it was so character building. I’m currently doing my Gold D of E and can’t wait to get out there again on another expedition.

In terms of my volunteering activities, I’ve had an amazing time helping at my local church. From running Messy Church activities for children, to dressing up for school Open the Book dramas, to making giant recycled angels to laying out Easter egg hunts. It has been varied and interesting. It has given me a great insight into the world of work and got that I am so very grateful.
