I completed my silver and bronze over 30 years ago. We still reminisce about the training on the North Yorkshire moors and the expeditions in north west Scotland on recent Munro bagging trips.

I’ve been supervising Gold DofE for the last ten years. It is a highlight of the academic year. The Duke of Edinburgh’s visionary holistic approach to education has been a major influence on my teaching philosophy.
