I completed my bronze & silver awards, I learned lots of skills from hiking & camping in The Mourne mountains during the expedition & I also learned sign language. I’m now a teacher & help with the expedition of the DofE in school & I’m also helping to run a lunch time class learning sign language (I’m relearning). It’s an amazing scheme & life changing.
My favourite memory: final stage of hike, very tired & hungry one member had some ham. She took several slices for herself & gave me & four others two to share! ? that’s were you learn who is working as a team & who is not!
