I am so grateful to this award. I was so young, and I suffered from extremely severe psoriasis arthritis, which meant I was not always well enough to do things. With the DofE award, I could take my time to complete each part and work towards something I had always dreamed of.. it opened my sheltered upbringing to being able to travel across the country and enjoy the wonders of the UK, such as staying in Brecon Beacons, even locally in Epping Forest, doing sports I never thought I could, and making an array of memories, and meeting other young people from all walks of life. I enjoyed every moment, thank you Duke!
