I have done Bronze and Silver, and am currently working towards my Gold DofE award. What I found most surprising about this award is how much I have had to overcome and learn from it. Whether it was tackling group morale during the expedition, dodging cows and sheep on the journey, or even figuring out how to map read when we got lost, I don't think I will forget participating in this award! I also got the opportunity to find new interests and hobbies, such as volunteering as a swimming teacher for the youngest members of my club, i learnt some valuable skills and have achieved certain things I probably would not have even thought of if it weren't for this award.
