I am Ben and I'm on the autistic spectrum. I did D of E bronze, silver and gold with Strathmore College. I went to St. James palace and received my award from Prince Edward.

I did some amazing things. My favourite things were the camping trips. I met lots of new people and made good friends. I spent time in Wales as a volunteer doing painting and decorating.

My mum thinks it gave me great opportunities to enjoy myself and learn so many new skills. I think anyone, even with a learning disability, should have a go at the D of E award - it's great!
