It was a great honour to meet Prince Philip at my Gold Award Ceremony at St. James's Palace in 2017. I remember the moment he walked into the room with a big smile on his face, ready to meet and greet all of us who had achieved the Gold Award. I will never forget his good sense of humour and genuine interest in the journeys we had all taken.

The founding idea Prince Philip had for the award, along with the experiences and memories that I have taken away from DofE, has inspired me to continue to support and volunteer for the DofE. Today, I am proud to help other young people achieve their award and give them memories and experiences which will shape their lives and future success. The DofE Award, is one of the greatest charities around the world, Prince Philip's legacy will live on.
