I am from a family of 4 sisters who all achieved their Gold DofE awards in the 70s and 80s. It was a great scheme for us all to do. We made it into the local paper, the ‘Surrey Advertiser’ when I finally finished my Gold. My parents loved their double visits to The Palace! Thank you for giving us the chance to challenge ourselves, be resilient and understand what commitment meant as teenagers.
