I had the great privilege of accompanying HRH The Duke of Edinburgh during his last DofE engagement – a Gold Award Presentation at the Palace of Holyroodhouse. How fitting that his last engagement with the Charity was talking with, talking to, and presenting their Gold certificate to the young people that he wanted the programme to reach. It was a memorable day and I was also delighted to present to HRH a special bottle of Whisky as a ‘retirement’ present.
