Anna Butler

I have been assisting on DofE expeditions for more than 10 years. I help out every year with Bronze, Silver and Gold and have been from the local area, which is in Essex, to the top of Snowdon and Scarfell Pike (many times). I, along with many students have had a variety of experiences, from exciting to very scary and everything in between. The pleasure the students get out of it is really rewarding to see, away from their phones and their "normal" lives. They learn so much about themselves, it gives them great confidence and makes them realise they are actually capable of a lot more that they thought they were. I get a real thrill from seeing the students achieve things they never thought they were capable of doing. Long may the opportunity of doing DofE last. I hope to be assisting for many years to come.
