It was a great experience to attend the presentation of the Duke of Edinburgh gold award with my daughter. Prince Philip was so obviously enthusiastic about hearing their accounts of adventures along the way and I was proud and pleased with the confidence with which my daughter told her story- something she would not have done previously.
This award gives young people an immense amount of life skills, finds hidden talents and an ability to work as a team.
