I am proud and honoured to have received my silver award which was organised through my school, Southbrook Comprehensive in Daventry, Northamptonshire. The scheme has helped me become the confident and successful team player that I am now at 55. From camping in the Brecon Beacons, canoeing on the Gower peninsula, caving and orienteering in South Wales and ice climbing in Switzerland I loved every second of my training. I was lucky enough to see Prince Philip during the 25th anniversary of the DofE scheme at RAF Alconbury in 1981, photos attached.
