Ande Treharne
I have thoroughly enjoyed the many years I have spent working with students and seeing them grow in confidence and maturity with a strong understanding and compassion of the world around them.
I always smile when I here the squeals from Bronze students as they take a relief break outdoors, to the pride and respect when I see Gold students endeavour harsh weather and challenging terrains to achieve their goals. While I am able to take shelter in a coffee shop.
I have worked with many DofE providers and have benefited so much from their expertise and guidance.
I started being a leader with my baby son in a back pack to having the same child aged 20 help carry water up mountains to provide refills to the participants walking along the top in hot weather. Then for us to walk back down, refill and do it again.
I have found that DofE has been one of my greatest pleasures being involved in and I thank John Anderson, at Charters School, Sunningdale, Ascot for getting me started.
