DofE tested me in ways that the classroom couldn't. It gave me the opportunity to grow individually, and with others. I participated in DofE because my Dad was determined to show me how fun it would be. Not only did this experience bond us, as he became an assessor whilst I was achieving my Silver award, but DofE gave me friendships that are still strong, three years later. It was easily one of the best experiences of my teenage years, and despite the numerous midge bites, I cannot recommend it enough!
